Chesterton Mistletoe Show

Today I sold my wool wares at a craft show in Chesterton, IN. A lot of the vendors were from their European Farmers Market which is in the park in Chesterton every Saturday from May - Oct. I found the farmers market while we were camping on Labor Day weekend. It is much more than a farmers market. To tell you what is there, I will just tell you what I bought: a kids picnic table for my grandchildren, a scarf/shawl, jewelry, granola, honey, a crepe (to eat) and I had my scissors sharpened. I will try to do the farmers market at least once this summer.
Today I found some things I had to have too. Oh, and I sold a lot and met so many nice people.
Next week I am selling at the craft show in Lake Central High School in Saint John, IN. Hope to see you there.

For your shopping pleasure I now have an esty site. You can find a few of my items at etsy.com. Look under sellers and put in WoolRevival . Capital W & R with NO space. The sweaters in this picture are sold already but I had to show them to you because I love the black and white combination.

Stockings in natural or white. The middle one was made from an old blanket. $18 each

Great sweater, but it was too thick to make a sweater. I have two. I hope they are not exactly the same.
Two stockings. Flowers are removable pins. $22 each.

Two almost the same. Twins maybe. $45 each.

An adult scarf, all whites. $35.
Here is my granddaughter wearing one of my sweaters in my garden.

Boy/girl twin sweaters and a younger brother! But you can buy them seperately. Size med. $45 each and small $40. The girls sweater sleeve that you can not see is the same two tone brown that is the right ride of the boy's sweater.
Christmas wool wreath. $35.
This is my first wreath and I sold it already. I should have kept it.

Sold, but I love the all black. I think I'll make another one.

Woman's scarf in all whites. $35

Children's sweater, size medium. $45.
Handmade items are unique. Because I make a pair of mittens out of one sleeve, the strips are not the same on both mittens. So far I only put a heart on one mitten. I just might leave it that way.

Mittens $12. I have bought more than one hundred sweaters in the last year, I think. One of the first sweaters I bought was like this one, just found another last month. Great sweater! Great colors!

I could only find one Christmas wool sweater. Luckly it's previous owner was large. I have made several stockings from it. Each stocking cost $35.

Two pair almost the same. $12 each pair. Children's size small.

Size small mittens. Because all of my things are made out of recycled wool sweaters there are no two alike. You will see mittens made out of this sweater BUT with no hearts.
Children's mittens. the back is green. Size 2T-4T. $12.00
Young boy mittens. $12. Back is navy stripted.
Children's mittens, size small. Made from a sleeve of a beautiful sweater.
When I was young after school I watched tv in a orange leather chair. Seeing orange, turguoise and olive green reminds me of the 60s.
Children's sweater. size Medium, $45. I have a small that is almost the same. Remember almost because no two are exactly alike.

The definition to revival is "a restoration to use". That is what is what I do with wool. After purchasing old wool sweaters and blankets, I wash them in HOT water and shrink them to child size. We have all done this by accident. After this I dry it in the dryer. This is call felting. Felted wool can be cut without freying because it is comprssed fibers. Each of my creations are made out of several different peices of wool, cut and peiced together to make a new sweater, mitten or scarf. Revival!
