Today I sold my wool wares at a craft show in Chesterton, IN. A lot of the vendors were from their European Farmers Market which is in the park in Chesterton every Saturday from May - Oct. I found the farmers market while we were camping on Labor Day weekend. It is much more than a farmers market. To tell you what is there, I will just tell you what I bought: a kids picnic table for my grandchildren, a scarf/shawl, jewelry, granola, honey, a crepe (to eat) and I had my scissors sharpened. I will try to do the farmers market at least once this summer.
Today I found some things I had to have too. Oh, and I sold a lot and met so many nice people.
Next week I am selling at the craft show in Lake Central High School in Saint John, IN. Hope to see you there.

For your shopping pleasure I now have an esty site. You can find a few of my items at etsy.com. Look under sellers and put in WoolRevival . Capital W & R with NO space. The sweaters in this picture are sold already but I had to show them to you because I love the black and white combination.

The definition to revival is "a restoration to use". That is what is what I do with wool. After purchasing old wool sweaters and blankets, I wash them in HOT water and shrink them to child size. We have all done this by accident. After this I dry it in the dryer. This is call felting. Felted wool can be cut without freying because it is comprssed fibers. Each of my creations are made out of several different peices of wool, cut and peiced together to make a new sweater, mitten or scarf. Revival!
